We had an all-hands for my department at work all day and then a dinner after. Woof. They FED us.

Turns out when you make the reservation in the credit union CEO's name, you get ATTENTION.

We got comp charcuterie boards and pimento cheese fritters, and they kept refilling our water and checking on us and the food was super good but I couldn't finish my 'all you care to enjoy' so the boys benefit.

What really cracked me up was that the 'seasonal vegetables' were, like.... 8 green beans? They were GOOD green beans. I liked them a lot. There were 8 of them on a plate of MEAT and CARBS.

Ok, yes, it was a not-dissimilar experience.

What really blew my mind... I mean, I'm not used to being treated like this... was that we all ordered from the menu, we all had a cocktail or drink (thems as wanted it) and ate till we couldn't any more (some folks had dessert).... on the company card.

Tell you what, I could eat a BUCKET of the pickled vegetables they had.

Two kinds of cheese, one of them goat cheese which I generally dislike but I was ok with the bites I had. Mind you, that's halfway through a hurricane so.....

AND THEN we adjourned to the bar next door. I abstained, as I needed to drive home although according to the bartender they were at 34% capacity so I probably could have got lit and slept over. But, not a good look with the work crew so....

So you abstained. Sensible

I'm sensitive about drinking at work events from being in the Mil. You do not need to show your ass in public.

ANYway.... it was a REALLY good feed. They also provided a light breakfast and a full lunch (I couldn't finished) so.... this is a kind of a 'pinch me' role.

I'm glad you had an enjoyable time. iT's nice to be pampered now and then. Sides, you work hard
