Ground beef and seasoning, made to patties and cooked in the skillet. Remove, rest. Add flour to the grease/butter, deglaze with onions in the pan and beef stock, and a splash of red wine.

When righteously thick as a gravy, set aside. Fry potatoes and nuke broccoli. Add patties back to gravy, turn, serve with an extra spoon of gravy, potatoes, and broc.

We have a BUTT TON off cooked mac elbows to use. ((sigh)) I think Mac & Cheese is in my future.

So.... the pasta saga.

Thing1 has to cook for his BSA Troop as part of advancement. And the last camping trip he was 'Grubmaster' - in charge of the eating. And he was allowed to cook SOME things in advance. Including pasta. And he had a count on how many to feed but you have to assume these are HANGRY Scouts. Ok.

He did not invite me to help him (and I offered....) figure out quantities. So he made... A LOT... of elbow pasta.

And then didn't have the dutch oven hot enough to cook things on the camping trip so....

I mean, everyone ate. Eventually. Late. And somewhat hangry.

And now I have a crap ton of noodles that need homes.
