that's actually historically accurate. More than one battle was closed on account of weather when the leaders had the option

I actually want to see a show where two armies gather, it's raining.... on each side the nobles say "Be brave, tis naught but the storm" to their yeoman. Then a lightning bolt hits the battlefield between them obliterating a tree, and one Yeoman on one says "Fuck this!" and on the other side, the other Yeoman goes "I'm Out" And both armies turn around and go home leaving two nobles in the rain looking chagrined.
