Yep. It was ~16 then yesterday went up to ~19. Testing today, if it went up again they want to admit him.

Thing2 was a golden baby too. They advised me to stick him in the sunlight, and had him under grow-lights before we were discharged.

Maybe they can get you grow-lights to-go.

He is absolutely adorable, though. Take your cue from him; eat when he does, sleep when he does. ($0.02)

Max is seriously photogenic. I showed his pictures to some housemates, big time oooos and awwss of adoration all around!

So I am making a Hawaiian meal tonight; kalua pork, white rice, broccoli (for something green), fresh pineapple, and a hawaiian monkey bread for dessert.

Sounds festive

We'll see! Oh, also, store-bought mac salad 'cause it's very Hawaiian and the Things love it.

Makes sense to me

Thing1 was camping this weekend, and Grubmaster; in charge of feeding his Troop. We worked together to prep him and the food and it worked pretty well. There was one issue, his pan was not hot when he was ready to start cooking the ground beef so dinner was delayed. That was primarily a function of his unfamiliarity with dutch oven cooking. The GOOD news is, he's identified that and is ready for next time.

Me either. I'd def want to read up more if I were going to do it for real. I understand that it relies on fire coals vs direct flame.

Like, you have coals under the oven and then lid it up and put coals on top so it's got heat coming from under and over; literally an oven. Uncovered, you can use it to cook too but having one means you can bake as well as stew or fry or whatever.

So yeah, with a dutch oven in your kit you can make biscuits and bread and such along with frying and whatever.

Okay that is just nifty. I wonder if Boggans or Nocker claim they made it
