I owed Thing2 a movie last night, sorry D.

I feel bad about disappearing; the evening developed here and it was good to spend time with him, though.

His first HS show (as a prop/tech) is Moon over Buffalo and it has a very similar vibe to "Noises Off" so we watched that. Not that I need an excuse.

Thank you. I admit, I'm not big on the ones that end in tragedy or where the 'villains' win. It's why I have a love hate with chicago. Fantastic music, engaging story... but the only two decent folks end up screwed (The Hungarian Girl and poor Amos).

The movie was not bad; not GREAT or FINE Cinema, but fine for popcorn.

I saw the remake of the Little Mermaid. I still prefer the original, but it was good over all.

I have heard good things about it.

The leads actually have good chemistry!

And I am not a fan of Melissa McCarthy, but she did VERY well as Ursula. I was a bit let down by Daveed Diggs as Sebastian... it wasn't terrible but I Hoped better. Wasn't crazy about one plot swap but mmmph

I'm cracking up; Thing2 is in the dusk, outside, doing yard work for what must be a VERY important game mod or purchase or something....

There's a movie, but I'm not sure how well that holds up to the stage version.

Part of the premise of the play is that you're only seeing the chaos from one angle per act. With a movie, I'm not sure if they'd stick with that.

Like, the first act you're looking at the stage from the audience, then the second act you're seeing what's going on backstage, and then the third act you're seeing it from the audience side again. Same play at three different periods of a long run.

Well, trust her that it's not important. That gives you the opportunity to scold her for lying to you later if it is, while also putting the brain spiders aside for a bit. (Mind you, I'm not good at trusting pretty much anything anybody says at face value, so I get it.)
