Point of order: some states of laws requiring hotels of a certain class/level of service to rent only up to a week at a time. The more amenities and stars a place has, the longer you can stay. Things you learn living in hotels for 3 months....

We stayed in a total of 3 over 3 months b/c we had to check out for at least an overnight between months. And I heard people trying to argue to just check back in but it's the hotel's operating license of they get caught, plus fines.
