Rae it turns a lot of Trek standards about, they're mostly in one station instead of traveling. It's a mix of non Federation aliens alongside the Star Fleet personel so the dynamics are different

Guest appearance at first, and was so good she became a semi regular one. Whoopi LOVED Uhurua when she was a kid. She relates seeing Uhurua on the original series when very young and going "mama, mama, there's a black woman on TV and she ain't no maid!" 🙂

And honestly? I'm REALLY enjoying ST: Strange New Worlds. It's got lots of call-backs to classic Trek, and it's GOOD. Even the goofier episodes are GOOD.
