Busy day! Brunch at 9, then rode bike to beach to tag in on 5yo bday party so my friend whose kid was attending could run to another engagement. Got a little too much sun (like 4 hours of beach play!) had them over for a late bbq lunch and now I can RELAX

Thing2 is STILL trying to get his shit cleaned up. We worked on it all morning, and I just went up there and found a massive pile of clothes stuffed into the back of his closet. ((sigh)) And he's mad at me about that.

It's your fault because you told them to pick up, fold laundry, put away. And THEN you went and LOOKED to see if they DID. And they didn't, so it's your fault.

So, I will give him this; I told him he could have his new, big-boy, SMART phone instead of his stupid hand-me-down phone, when we got home from picking up Thing1 if he got the cleaning work done.

We just checked his work together. He EVEN had the chest of drawers staged open for me.

And I -only- say that, and only called him on it, b/c the drawers WOULDN'T CLOSE. THAT was why they were staged open for me and I have NO DOUBT he would have asked me to get his phone for him and his dad to work on while he waited and then JAMMED them shut.
