Folks from AT&T or Spectrum I am not sure , guy's accent was thick, came by just now. I was not in a good mood but tried to hear them out. I told them I didn't have the details on what we were on ... he was like 'oh you let someone else handle that. Are they in?'.. frankly he struck me as pushy and obnoxious but I wasn't in the best mood so maybe it was me. I told him, honestly, that my housemates were at work. 'WHen will they be back" and when I gave them a look (I was wearing a mask) he added "We'll be about till seven". I told them they might be avaible after six. He thanked me, and as I turned to go, said "And what was your name?" and I finally lost any semblance of politeness and told them I wasn't giving that out.

I realize Not giving my name was perhaps a bit much but guy acted entitled to question me, when he found out I didn't know one thing he needed, disregarded me to 'go fetch' , and by the time he was 'and your name is?' my already pissy mood was getting bristly

They did come back later but one of my housemate's dealt with them. He has a higher tolerence

Mmph. Yeah, we've had some local incidents of "representatives" showing up who didn't actually work for the businesses in question. They were scoping out buildings for later robbery. I don't think that's very common, but it's enough that people trying to sell me things at the door makes me nervous.

Shady, I believe it. I should have just said 'Not interested, have a nice day' and gone inside but I was in a bad mood and overcompensated. I thought it was JUST me, but one of my Housemates who was at home at the time (But was working remotely so was 'at work') told me later the guy knocked on the door so loud she thought it was the police and wondered what the hell?

It was NOT just you. Door-to-door is outmoded, any business with sense knows it, and those without sense are not businesses you want to work with.

It's a bit different when I see folks offering to do yard work or the like. THose are usually poor folks having tough times
