The play itself was good, of course. Hamilton holds up, but the place was packed and it got a bit claustrophobic seating wise.

The cast was interesting... the guy playing Hamilton had amazing cadence and flow as the part required, but.. and I feel bad for saying this, he was short. Very short. Shortest in every scene with other men and the lady who played the ' married woman he had an affair with' was tall for a woman so the scene was a bit surreal in that regard. I feel bad for letting it throw me off, because hey, not like he has a choice on height and he got the job done, but my brain kept thinking of a troll trying to seduce a Piskey

You are correct; double casting a show is a smart way to make use of the cast when the show covers a span of years and characters.
