Caj. We DID sit down to eat as a family, which was nice. Leftovers, but together. AND... MY BACK PORCH IS SCREENED IN!!

I am happy with how it turned out; give the way the front yard work went, I wasn't sure so....

I'm not sure I know what happened to the front...?

((Sigh)) I decided to have my attempts at landscaping be replace with sod that can be mowed-and-done. I hired a reputable guy from the local area, had references and all.
Well, now my lawn ornaments from mom are missing, presumed gone. The replanted rosemary was uprooted by a strong day of wind and is dead or dying. The towering lemongrass is likewise. So. Bummed.

Won't be using or recommending that guy again, for sure.

He's SURE he collected up and set aside anything in the area he was working in. ((shrug)) Which he didn't but I'll be damned if I can figure out how or where it could have done otherwise. And they were STUPID lawn ornaments; not valuable but with sentimental value.

I wonder if he put them by the curb, and somebody thought they were free to take.

The plants I haven't even mentioned. I'll get "Sometimes that happens when you transplant things."

I don't think he would have, or that they would have gone.

He'd have had to carry three small ornaments, alone among edging and trim and cinderblocks and pallets and lattice down to the curb....

.... and the street has ONLY local traffic from residents. Like. No other reason for anyone to drive down here.

Yeah, I'm NOT recommending or using him again, believe me.

BUT the patio seems to be doing better.

The patio sounds delightful!
