I made the mistake of sighing when mom mentioned how my sister likely wanted to show me her and her husband's house. She said 'you can put up with it once'

and I got snarky 'Once? Once? I've done it for years now, and I've smiled at the son of a bitch'

her comment 'well your aunt so and so has said she had been over or had to host family members she didn't like'

and i replied coolly "that's terrible... were they beating her family members?'

Mom tried to divert with a "I'm not getting into that"

So great conversation. REALLY has me looking forward to visiting later this month

Wow. Um...I mean, is she saying it didn't happen, or that she knows it happened but she is going to pretend that it didn't?

More like he's better now and trying... really, take his and my sister's word for it.

Anyway, as this is Christmas related, my loathing of the holiday continues
