Up earlier than usual to take the Things to the dentist. Home again, and I had a meeting coming up so I took the meeting there. Then in to work with a stop to grab lunch on the way. Most of the day spent mocking up pages on our SharePoint.

Good! Kinda flooded my on-vacation-boss with stories she needs to review, edit, and/or approve. 😁

Now home for the night and I've banged together a cornbread to have with the beef stew.

Boss better start paddling (RE flood!) . We are having ... I don't know what for dinner. Housemate has seized the kitchen and I'm afraid to cross her!

Ok, the cornbread turned out GOOD which is nice 'cause I experimented.

HOw did you experiment on the cornbread?

Followed the standard recipe but instead of milk I added a can of creamed corn and also added in some rubbed/powdered sage.

And it worked well you say? I might suggest to a friend

It did! I use the corn meal recipe on the box of meal and instead of milk I used the can of c-corn.

I shall mention it if I remember!

I had a really nice lunch with my sister, but the migraine started to hit as I was driving home. Took me out for a good chunk of the day.

I agree about holiday-ing. I didn't have a lot of holiday-ing this year, but I'm just about done.

The rest of the holidays will be casual here; snacky dinner on NYE and a more formal, delicious dinner on NYD.

But that's it; no outings, no visitors, nada otherwise.

Good. Need some relaxation and reset.

I'm so glad we don't go back to work on the 2nd. We start up again on the 3rd.

Oh. My housemate wants to have a big family gather of her cousins in town. Not my problem mind. But she has her mind set on it. Something where folks don't DIE
