With me, I call my folks then get the bad news on how horrible things are, and 'could i maybe talk to'... but I also get 'oh we don't expect you to DO anything' kind of stuff

Tieflings appeared after I stopped playing D&D. Are they sort of supposed to be a cross between halflings and satyrs?

Yup. Housemat'es mom got a text saying she needed to pay her rent by today or she'd get evicted. Now her daughter, my friend, is a good person and wants to help her mom, but this has been paid. But friend's mom doesn't text ... doesn't do online stuff. Company wants to, she doesn't. And older lady is freaking out, while my friend can't help her out from here, but is trying. Friend is getting run around trying to call the company to find out what's going on.

That sucks.
