There were these big water stains from.... upstairs CLAIMS they never spilled anything, but. There are no pipes up there. There is an AC duct, so possibly condensation. I dealt with the ugly stains for like a year, got a quote from a painter, and then said "$800?!" I have paint AND a ladder!

In his defense, he's an old dude contractor that has been doing this work all his life and does it RIGHT

he would have painted the entire ceiling carefully

we just did primer and then a couple coats of ceiling white over the spots

but I can't see them now! success!
