I have a return to work day; next week off to get some weight back on the food, and then back to work with limitations.

The 'split seam' incision is, it turns out, pretty normal. It's not OPEN as much as healing from the inside to the surface. So the top is supposed to heal like this and will eventually be all new skin. Good to go.

My housemate got a call. B has an infection, and is going to a hospital.
