Like a month ago, Thing2 asked for bagels and strawberry cream cheese. So I went out of the way to get GOOD bagels (not grocery store, but this is FL so it is an extra effort to find....) and we MADE the cream cheese together.

Since then there have been four bagels untouched. Three sesame seed and one cinnamon. So yesterday I made savory bagel chips and this morning I'm putting together a bread pudding/French toast casserole.

So, I guess the sesame seed is not liked. My, I like sweet bagels so cinnamon = nom

I usually buy plain

plain + cream cheese + blackberry jam

To be honest, the chips ended up darker than I would have liked but can also become breadcrumbs so no loss there.

I think Thing2 just stopped craving them and moved on.

I'm not as big on bagels and cream cheese myself, but then again, I am told Bagels done right are more a regional thing

My oatmeal was good, but next time I'll add water not half and half. That kinda blows the benefit of the oatmeal, too.

Had light vanilla yogurt with it and that was nice for the consistancy.

have you tried the overnight ones? I do mine with almond milk & yogurt and they're wonderfully creamy. I nuke them for a minute if I want them warm.

And, there's good and bad cholesterol which I can never keep straight but the good one helps lower the bad one. So depending, SOME cholesterol is GOOD to consume. Myfitness, however, doesn't differentiate. ((sigh))

I haven't set up overnight oats 'cause I still have about a week's worth of oatmeal prep'd and frozen to thaw but I will make some next time 'round.

I use plain, nonfat regular yogurt - it's also good on wraps, which is why I get that instead of the vanilla

I just add a splash of vanilla extract to my oats

Yep, there's a lot you can do with plain plain plain yogurt.

I want to try it as a marinade sometime
