Can I tell you how much I love this guy? He's triple-checking with me about how the tile backsplash matches up; they have lines and he wants to be sure the lines match up to my satisfaction. YES it's to avoid doing it again but also he UNDERSTANDS!!

Yes! Now, I don't know the comic, so I was hella confused for most of it, but by the end I think it had me intrigued enough to come back to it.

I am not a moon knight expert but I know enough basics to chuckle. The 'voice' of his.. divine patron was dead on from what I recall of the comics. Kind of a surly higher power

The black outs make for some intriguing cuts. Like "Did I just miss the most amazing fight scene ever?" 🙂

Yes! And the sense of disorientation is really effectively communicated that way. I mean, the viewer shares in it!

So, Rahne, have you seen the other superhero stuff like Wanda vision, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Loki or Hawkeye? if so, which is your fav ?

Oh, that's a tough one. I've seen them all, and they're all fantastic. I think...If I were going to choose one to watch over again, F&WS wouldn't be top of the list. But the others? That's a tight race!

I confess, Hawkeye might be in the lead, but I did love all the homages to old shows in WandaVision and Vision has one of the best lines "But what is grief, if not love persevering?”

Falcon and Winter Soldier was good, but the idea that a certain someone became a bad guy seemed out of character to me and brought it down for me

Honestly, I forget who the certain someone is, which I think tells you a lot about how much F&WS didn't stick in my memory.

Ha. Yes that's usually a clue. I think each one had a failure in it, but it's hard to make the perfect show.

I think Hawkeye came damn close.

It did. Very true to the comic material which I think helped

Is the hearing loss canon?

Only problem with Wanda Vision was that more than one person tried to give Wanda a pass for massive brainwashing and kidnapping. Now you can argue she wasn't in her right mind so isn't as culpable, but the 'they'll never know what you gave up for them' angle felt a bit... well, BS to me. Yes, she had grief, yes she had to face reality... she was still in the wrong let's not pretend otherwise

Hm...well, loyalty (including fan-loyalty, and there were certainly some "fan" characters in there) is powerful.

But I wonder how much of that attitude was Wanda's influence as well.

Oh and yes! I forget the year, but Hawkeye actually used a sonic arrowhead on himself to stop a brainwashing/mind control thing in a comic... made him deaf in one ear. Rather than act like it never happened, the good writers went 'okay, so this is a thing now' and ran with it. Had him use a hearing device to compensate...and later had him learn Sign. In fact, the writer who the show took the storyline from? IIRC, had an entire issue done in sign!

That's SPECTACULAR.
