I organized my serving platter and baking ware cabinets today. It feels so good!

How's the hem?

made a lot of good progress today

kinda kicking myself over one of them

sav is in a jumpsuit

had to shorten the legs 6 inches

I cut them, to shove them through the serger

wince Cut too much?

it is fast & pretty and the serger was in the right color thread (changing the serge is a 20 minute process)

but I realized, after I cut off the first leg, that the pants were cut straight enough I probably could have done a blind hem with the length tucked up & had it behave

I can't do 6 inch hems on the dresses

the circumference difference is too great, so it buckles the chiffon

deepest I can hem on those is 1.5 inches

and THAT takes hand-sewing

on machine, deepest I can hem is .25 inches

So, like

I could have preserved the length on the jumpsuit legs

but I was really tired

and they are DONE and it was FAST but I feel guilty? IDK

I don't like cutting off fabric to hem, but with chiffon, because it is slippery & thin & sheer, that's really the de rigeur way to hem it and have it look good

and I have to get everthing done by sunday
