They are... butt ugly though

I mean, cold blooded mammal, lacking pain receptors in their skin, and able to survive with almost no oxygen for long periods of time!

They're starting to think that molerats aren't actually inherently resistant to cancel at all. I read an article about it sometime last year... it's the conditions of their environment that prevent the early stages of cancer from forming, not their cells (mole rat cells put into other rodents rapidly form cancer). Which also explained why the only cases they generally found were in captivity

(Which I share as a point of interest, not to affect anything IC. After all, THEY live in a Magical World)

They are also incredibly long lived, for Rodents

30+ years... pet rats generally top out at 3 at the most
