I actually was angry Abuela Alma got off so easy for her behavior to Bruno and Mirabel, with just two hugs and an apology. But then I realized on a rewatch Alma was shown deferrinng to Mirabel for the reconstruction, stepping back. not just talk, she did some walking the walk. Still did her fam dirty but it looked like real change

Yeah, she had to accept a different position in the family than the one she had inhabited for decades. And honestly, Bruno and Mirabel were both somewhat complicit because they didn't admit the problem until too late (same with the rest of the family when their powers started going haywire).
