Let's see, over here, two old dogs have mostly adapted to two young cats. Big old dog is a sweetie to them mostly and while she is losing her sight a bit, and not in great shape, she remains warm to them or amused to the point the cats now like approaching her as if to prove how brave they are, but may fall asleep within 5 feet of her feeling safe. The poodle still doesn't like these interlopers and gets nervous as she is sometimes stalked. On the flip side, she has barked at them without warning when they lower THEIR guard, so at least is balance.
