Have been talking to friends about potentially going in on a 2flat

house!

we both want a single family home, in our price ranges in the city

which is.... difficult

but a two flat...

maybe!

This one is just out of their price range, but might be doable if we work things... I mean, new tuckpointing, electrical, roof, and sewers? That's a load off my mind.



THIS one is almost the same, but not renovated... and in their price range.

If nothing else, I'll get a better idea of what's on the market.

Personally I think that the benefits of the renovated place outweigh the cost savings of the other one. Might look into options like renting out the basement to recoup some of the fees, if friend wanted to play landlord

but, it's all VERY theoretical
