We were playing Betrayal at House on the Hill, which is a very fun game in which the party is cooperatively exploring a spooky house, until something triggers the "Haunt" phase, during which one of the players may get turned against the other party. At that point, your goals change and it's Traitor vs. Explorers

The board is dynamically generated with random tiles based on which direction each person choses to explore, so it's a new game every time. The 'Haunt' scenario also has like 50 options all of which are determined by what you did - like X object in X room

I turned into a possessed (and invisible!) bloodthirsty version of myself and had to try to hunt down the others, while they are guessing what room I might be in

it was very close, I killed 2/3 of the others before they got me

It's a very fun game, sounds complex but is easy, and only takes about an hour
