Does it actually say in one of the books somewhere what the Oath was that Liam broke way back when? I've looked but haven't found - maybe looking int he wrong places

My personal take? Gwydionns protect Liams now partially because they know one of their nobles fucked them over unfairly, and, after a while they realized thte Liams were right. Liams warnned and warned about treating sons of adam badly. Then boom shatteringg sundering..and Gwyds were like "Okay.. so Climate change Dreaming shifts ARE real."

Book of Houses has the story, but I admit I'd have gone a different route

Not a big fan of the 'Entire house is oathbroken and no other changeling will honor their oathbonds, hospitality, or justice.'. If enforced, it makes them impractical to play. If not enforced, it leaves them without an effective house ban.

Anyway, what is Changeling if not unbalanced? 🙂

So my take on it? Liam's good deeeds for the last 40 years have actually scored it points with commoners and nnobles alike. The fact so many are Autumn (officially) sidhe means there's a lot more 'you gonna blame them for shit a thousand life times ago?'

Yeah, they're still 'oathbreakers' in C20 but it's more of a vulgar insult and not a "THE DREAMING ENFORCES THAT THIS GUY GIVES YOU THE WILLIES"

and I suppose (Like D said) probably mostly the older school folk really still feel prejudiced against them

I think the Shadow Court three houses probably hate them and use the oathbroken as an excuse because 'waaa, they won't let us ravage and worse' 🙂 But even there there are exceptions

I wonder, does the book actually SAY that they have the Oathbroken effect on people? Or is it just "It is Known that the are considered Oathbroken and Treated as such"

Because TBF the individuals have not actually broken any pact with the dreaming (unless they have)

Like, all it says is "these sidhe are known as oathbreakers."

It actually says that Liam don't advertise their allegiance, which indicates that if it suited their purpose they could hide their house, ergo indicating that it's not an evident affect.

And this is all just contemplative. 🙂

I do love a lot about the house. The fact they're almost divided between the whipping boy Conncordians, meannwhile in the Netherlands, bow your head, Tulipland loves the Liam!
