It occurs to me that Santa Claus is a wichtel. Many might incorrectly assume him a boggan due to charitable works, but tell me, would a kind and caring boggan REALLY give naughty children coal? Or is that more of the action of one feeling like they need a bit of retribution for being naughty even after being TOLD they must be good because Santa is watching?
