Hey, Mr. D., Hav-a-Heart traps work GREAT in my experience. They'd satisfy both your need to catch the varmint and your housemate's tender heart.

She set up some life traps (Not sure o the model) but they didn't work. After a week I just had to try what I figured would work to catch and as the mouse didn't spend 20 minutes trapped I admit I don't feel that bad myself
