Appearance: Rusalka lean towards the slender and youthful looking, save around the eyes which look wise and oft times a bit weary. They are an attractive kith, sleek and with high cheekbones even in mortal seeming. Their fae seeming tends to be paler than their mortal complexions, and those judging eyes never reflect the person they're staring at, but rather seem to hold images of cold rivers and brackish lake edges.
Rusalka tend to have long hair, the better to tangle another with in the waters it is said, and this hair is a vanity for many of them. They often stroke and tend to it absentmindedly as they sit on the shores or rise half way out of the water. They have lovely smiles, until one realizes that the teeth are rather fang like, akin to what might find on a pike, albeit sized for a human mouth.
It should be noted, when fully submerged, much of this changes, at least to enchanted eyes. the already slender frame either becomes more skeletal or the skin becomes almost translucent, giving a corpse or ghost like effect depending, and those eyes shine with their own weak light. Of course, when this happens, it is usually too late for those witnessing it.
