I understand it is frickin Xmas eve and this is the post office so I am being so patient

But we've been trying to reach their maintenance dept for over a month now, and now we have new mailboxes installed but they cannot lock

so our mail is just... open

ewww

They are backed up to hell, and they can't even GET new locks, they're back ordered. So a maint guy has to come and make the old locks work in the new boxes

Which should be easy because it's an identical box, but there are these tricky clips that need to be in place

PLUS - you have to unlock the lock and set the clips, then relock it in place. So all of this fiddling meant that the carrier (bless her heart) has to stand there waiting with her key

She came back FOUR times to try to help and this is time off her route

I am going to drop off flowers or chocolates or something at the local USPS for them

because every day when I go to pick up my PO box mail, there is a line out the door and always someone yelling at them
