Outside the military set up I wouldn't say it has great job opportunities, while it's changed, I know that for a long time it was a suburb of Nashville (40 miles away) for commuting for 'real jobs'. As with any other part of TN, that area has more churches than convenience stores, and the political slant is so red it's almost gone Infra!
