I'm gonna put this out there, just my point of view.... I don't worry too much about reading every word of RP I'm not involved in. Hey, there are things my PCs wouldn't know. It's not like I'd be bad at RP or detrimental to our game if I don't know everything. I find that freedom can help my sanity.

Oh, there are certainly some that I skim or skip entirely. I haven't a clue, for the most part, about EBG's recent doings, and only slightly more than that about Silverwolf. But for the places where my characters have a larger stake, I'm trying to catch up a bit more. Also, it helps me to recapture the mood.

Those are absolutely legit reasons and motivations.
