It's fun noticing the differences between my developing nobles. Calanthe expects to be obeyed as her right, and sees no need for wasted breath on courtesy. Aiden expects to be obeyed based on fealty and loyalty, and sees no reason to be pointedly rude when it is as easy to phrase such as a request, or add a please or thank you.

Of course, that makes it a tell when he is actually miffed. Perhaps Calanthe is just more clever in hiding this by always being short.
