Well, the other day between one thing and another, they managed to break a small inexpensive bowl that had some small sentimental meaning to me. It was not repairable.

But I made them stick it back together and when the only glue they had didn't work (glue sticks) I made them use small strips of masking tape. And they had to build a box to fit it, and decorate it with pictures of their favorite things.

Then they had to go out and dig a hole in the yard.

And I gave a moving eulogy, telling them why the bowl was important to me. Pointing out that sometimes even if you're sorry and you try to fix something you break, it's just BROKE.

And then I boxed it up and made them carry the box and the shovel and go bury it.

((chuckle)) Me too. Mostly, I wanted the whole production number to force them to work together and to consider their actions BEFORE they break things.
