Ok, my Aussie DH is understandably a little fuzzy about the difference, functionally, between Memorial Day and Independence Day.

I explained Mem Day is for those who've given their lives in defense of their country, and 4Jul is celebrating the birth of America. He gets that. But "they're both red, white, and blue holidays....."

And the menus tend to be similar.

So I told him I'd decorate 4 July with strictly R/W/B and I'd get the Halloween gravestones and decorate THEM with USA flags for Mem Day.

And now he's not speaking to me......

How's he feel about President's day?
