Well, obviously, he's family.

Granted, before coming to RV, he was very isolated. And then he was isolated at RV. Now that he gets to go to the Farm he sees a lot more people though, which has really helped him come out of his shell. Mortals are still scary though, but less so if he can greet them with ears and tail and pets.
