I've tried making different cornbreads from scratch a number of times

and it mostly turns out that I want Jiffy because it's the taste of my childhood 😄

And that is LEGIT.

I -try- (and do not always succeed.....) in having a rule that says you can have all the cake, pie, cookies, candy, WHATEVER you want.

But you have to make it from scratch.

Believe me, that makes you decide you don't want it enough RIGHT QUICK.

However, Santa gives the boys Tastycakes or Hostess cake treats, as does the Easter Bunny and others.

Does Santa make mid-January layover deliveries?

One of our borrowed family T-day recipes is a corn pudding that is basically undercooked cornbread made with creamed corn but I PROMISE it's better than that sounds.

Like turnip pudding, I guess........
