Ever have one of those days where you regret opening your mouth to say hi?

Oh yes.

Yeah. B's daughter and her friend the other housemate leaivng thursday to go to storytelling festival. B will be here with B's SIL and Myself. SIL asks if I mind taking care of B that evening as he has a free screening for a movie. I'm like what's four more hours (or more) and say sure we'l lset up dinner before hand etc. B's daughter (his wife) didn't know about this so I give the "GOOD NEWS" that his job is actually doing a free screening.

Thought she knew.

BAM.... she's snarling about 'mom needs her meds' and and 'we don't have a dinner planned' and I'm like

What the fuck just happened???

I explain I can handle that. It's one night. We can prepare dinner etc.

And she is PISSY now.

And I get that she doesn't want to burden me with the pills part of thing... but I feel like I said 'Good news" and got snarled at and told I'm incompetent all at once swoop

AND I got her husband in trouble without meaning to.

I'm getting too old for the drama.

Part of it is she has to keep her guard up all the time with her mother so she has less and less filter for anyone else
