So if Adam can reasonably be assumed to be Sidhe (runs Frank's spoken thoughts) how would a Sidhe with the qualities we've described react to Adam's current situation? Tone that down a bit, dim it for being Kinain instead of Kith.... does his reaction make sense?

And yes, perhaps annoying but (Frank points out) he doesn't want to assume he sees the whole picture or can recognize and avoid his own biases.

Yeahhhh...but...well, the question of his kith isn't even the main thing they started talking about. His reaction makes sense on the spectrum of what-sidhe-kin-might-do, but it's to the more extreme end. More critically now, though, is his risk of self-harm (wanting to lose the sight) and the simultaneous fading of a bonded chimera. Whether or not it's a reasonable reaction from him, the question is what the heck to do about it.

Kerri makes the Pennons suggestion. Brekke agrees and approves, as long as Dagmar also approves, as Brekke sees this primarily as a training experience for Dagmar.
