I keep finding little presents from the old owners, and fresh surprises from the handy crew. Like, I take off the towel bar to put up a new one, and they didn't paint underneath (they were supposed to remove all fixtures and paint entire walls) and there is still a big circle of purple there

Also they put up new doors and on one of them, apparently stripped a few screws and put in a different size and now it doesn't close... and on a closet door they just left off some of the hinge screws (didn't realize until tring to install a doorstop and the door sagged)

Then again, I might not be wrong, per se

When the final bill is tallying out at about $6k I really just want to get things done RIGHT

(painting entire place including ceilings, baseboards and trim, installing a new fan and undercab lights and outdoor light, fixing a plumbing issue, installing GFCI-compliant outlets)

I have a good friend who is a contractor's representative by trade (although she works on mansions for the DISGUSTINGLY rich) and she's helped keep me sane

This lady got an EXTREMELY expensive fancy marble bath installed, and the first thing she did was take a bath with luxuriant oils that wrecked the finish on the marble. Oops.

I think this is the same lady who got radiant heating installed in the bathroom - there is a 1/2" gap left when doing so just around the edges, I guess that's just the standard. BUT when she stood at her makeup counter, her wee tootsie toesies got cold on that little spot, so she had it entirely redone

I really wanna see when someone tells Sam she went on a date and said yes to another.

Am trying to decide if I want to go on a 5hr road trip to run a 13 mile obstacle course race with friends in September. On one hand, it's already paid for except for the waivers (I have a credit) but it IS a long trip, and the people I'd go with are staying a second day to run another race so I'd be away for a while.... or I could run that race tooo but I'd have to pay for it... :thinking_face:

I don't think it was a date. That's like saying that no one can go out with a member of the opposite / interested in you gender without it being a date. She didn't consider it as such, so it wasn't?
