⛵ Ok, brief update. Staying at the same facility as mom and dad in a guest suit and it's really nice, but it has NO CONNECTIVITY. So I sit in the lobby listening to a pretty rockin' 80's playlist from the front desk for the life of my Surface's battery. And I have a book. And I am clean. And I have a cup of coffee. And I got some sleep after around 23 hrs up so....
Plans are still loose but right now it looks like we'll be leaving Friday; if needed we'll return for a memorial service, probably by air. Yes, we drove here this time. 1001 miles, 15 hrs (plus stops).
Pets are in a vet/kennel that my brother uses. I plan to see my folks later this morning, and then grab a nap while DH takes the Things to visit the pets, maybe taking my nephew and niece (as/if available) to meet them. Found out yesterday they lost -their- dog recently so THAT is still raw for them. Planning to have at least a meal with at least my mom today and tomorrow, and spend time with her and dad. Then leave Thur night/Fri a.m. depending.
Not such a brief update, but.... Ok, that's where we are.
