Darn professor. He asks for candid video response from all class members about how we're feeling about the community. I wrestle with it for a while, then go ahead and post a video about how frustrated I am with the structure and the fact that I'm supposed to be presenting next week on a final project when he hasn't even told us what the final project IS yet, and...so on....and the darn professor sends me an email. Can't he just shut up and go away. I don't want to interact with him or this stupid class, and every time I do the interaction I'm required to do, I then have to do more. UGH.

the introduction of new tech was used to undercut the power of workers, cut wages AND usher in pretty poor workign conditions - machine-owners set the hours, set the pace, etc

One of their avenues to fight back was to break the machines, yes, but it wasn't because they were ignorant yokels afraid of technology

they were skilled workers fighting their own demise

and they lost that fight, brutally - a lot of them were executed or transported
