As far as the Mom song: I did EXACTLY this between last night and this morning. I no-shit called the house phone that Thing 1 had in his room (with permission) to have him walk it on speaker into Thing 2's room so I could wake him up and remind him he had to do homework before school.

Okay. The Orville second season has been amazing

the first two episodes were a bit average, but since then it just started soaring.

The last one? Females of a species that thought it was all male ends up fighting for their freedom with the Orville's help while Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" plays strong.

And they found a time capsule from the strange early part of the 21st century.. including a cellphone with texts. One of the crew has it turned into a hologram, and ends up falling for a long dead woman. Been done before, but it was done well... and gave us a great cover of a song

I watched a few eps of the first season, it didn't grab me

Oh I can see why. Even the second season had the celebration of Bortus peeing once a year as it was 'his time'. But they've raised the stakes, made some twists, kept a lot of humor.

Latest episode directed by Frakes, bit part for Marina (Troi) so nostalgia made me smile.
