He apparently had a fan write him not entirely happy about it back in the day. Wish I could remember his full quote, but he says that while Susan has her own story yet to be, he wasn't sure he was the one to write it as it would indeed be a more grown up story than was his usual for Narnia. Then he suggest perhaps the fan take a wahack at it.. in short, he encouraged her fan fiction to write Susan's fate anyway she wanted. Which I thought was kind of nice and, given his generation, foresighted of him 🙂
