Here's some poetic justice: The district superintendent decided to plan a huge MLK celebration march for this Friday (I think I've bitched about it before)...actually parading kids (many of whom don't have adequate winter clothes) around the city in the middle of January, on the last day of school before the Regents exams which they desperately need to pass. LOTS of angry teachers, parents, students, but the superintendent has stood firm that This Is Going To Happen. Plans, presentations, etc etc etc....and now it looks like we're going to have a massive snowstorm that day. 😄
