Like...I emailed her my lesson plan last week: no response. I emailed yesterday to follow up and also ask her another question: no response. I get an email from her when I checked tonight, saying she'd be at my 8:30 class. The email was sent after 6 pm. I had been under the impression she was going to be at my 10:00 class. So, it's fortunately I happened to check that account. I really feel like she's playing games.

Yeah, I'm VERY glad I've been documenting everything, and all communication is through email. I've got a trail of her giving vague instructions, and then snarking at me when I ask for clarification or express confusion.

I teach two sections of college-level English at the high school. It's a dual credit thing: the kids get HS English credit, but also earn college credit. It's overseen by college admin.

Everybody gets observed. And my last observation was pretty weak.

Also, my classes meet every other day, but not alternating...so both on the same day...and every time she tried to schedule this, it was on a day when my class wasn't meeting. Now it's the last week before final exams for the semester class, and she's showing up...and I think she forgot she still had to observe me.

Well...okay, so Robin is my middle name. My first name is Jane, but I've ALWAYS gone by Robin, since infancy. So it's J. Robin Ward, but that causes havoc in systems that are bound to social security numbers, so my college email is jane.ward@.... So I can understand why she does it...but it's been YEARS now.

No, I don't think it's that. I mean, this is the woman who demanded my return from the middle school because they were so unhappy with the woman who took over the classes when I got moved. So, she used to like me just fine...but this silence is weird.

I'm hoping the lesson tomorrow goes smoothly. Last year's was pure clusterfuck....snow delay, kids not knowing we were in the computer lab, people not being ready with necessary assignments....it was BAD. This one (cross fingers) should go okay. Maybe better than okay.
