Well, it didn’t actually die...but the mouse/touchpad is scrolling at random, so it pulls the cursor all over the document when I’m trying to type.

I tend to turn my touch pad off because it's too darn sensitive.

I tried that. Problem persists.

Uncheck Hide pointer while typing

Click Apply then OK
