Okay, I'm rather annoyed. The corner bar where our office eats lunch at least once a week started adding an automatic gratuity to their bills. Okay, I get it. Normally that's at like 15-18%. They added 20%. Okay, I still get it, that's what I tip anyways.

But then I notice that the numbers are off... it says 20%, but the amount charged is over 20%.

A family member had a shady server increase the tip on her. By a DIGIT.

$10 tip became $100

I mean, I get it. It's a touristy place and maybe people don't always check their bills. But a $90 discrepency ain't gonna go unnoticed most of the time

They got it refunded by the restaurant - they called to make sure it wasn't just a finger slip entering it. But no, they got a copy of the receipt and the tip line had been edited
