IRL, there was a jrko at Fiddle on the Roof last week

I thought the line "look, she hates Samhain, thinks she's not good enough, but if anyone tried for your mother on Samhain, ASSSUMING your father didn't rip their heads off first, your mom would still end up on a hill of corpses, Speaker in her hand, barely dinged, probably apologizing for the mess." was a good summary of what Brekke herself had shown

I've read a follow-up article on that...apparently the guy was outraged by the pogrom scene, and was trying to make a political statement about how Trump is a Nazi and this is NOT a good thing, but it came out sideways and he's horribly, horribly embarrassed to have scared people. People started running because they thought he might be about to start shooting.

Oh, he wasn't offended by the scene...he was outraged on behalf of the Jews who had to live through it in real life.

Well, so few kids actually get an early exposure to seeing plays these days, then they go to their first play when they're 20-something, and they don't know what to do with the intensity of the experience, or how to act in a theater.
