He got up late, picked a miniscule but fast lunch to pack, went back to his room to play. I had to call him down; he managed to pack a larger lunch, did a few chores, but chose to skip breakfast entirely. I doubt seriously he did any personal hygiene.

He didn't -want- to go to school at all; this I know because a) he's 9 and b) he asked "Is today a school day?" when he finally staggered down.

And I've offered repeatedly to set up his alarm clock for him. No interest.

I can't trust him to brush his teeth, so I can't trust him to walk home from the bus stop, and I sure as HELL can't trust him with any personal electronics.
