Turns out, when I can't sleep, I need the cat.

She curls up and gets pets and love and purrs and pretty soon I drifted off. I'd say I was up for about an hour after I turned everything off and was in the dark; 20 minutes after I added the cat, I was out.

Yes. As Jewel learns more manners and control she'll have a larger share, I have no doubt. She's a love, and will be good at cuddling once she's not quite as lethal.

Does she bite??

She's mouthy. A baby, putting things in her mouth and checking them. Plus teething. Plus Retriever. Also, her paws are pretty massive club-things and she hasn't -quite- got a handle on 'no jump.'

She's sweet and she doesn't mean to hurt and she is genuinely apologetic when rebuked but... still a baby.
